Azorr Kori

Azorr has a storied and difficult past. Through many trials and sheer will, he has persevered, and continues to live life to the fullest. Below are some highlights of his past, but there is much more to him that can be explored.

Childhood

Azorr was born A'zorr Tia, a Seeker of the Sun Miqo'te born of the Antelope tribe. He was born with traditional dark skin and face markings, but his grey hair and unique eyes were often looked at with suspicion among his small sect of his tribe.Early in his childhood, Azorr demonstrated incredible gifts, such as physical and intellectual growth far beyond what other children his age demonstrated. By the young age of three, he was already fully conversing with elders, able to quickly learn combat techniques, and perform athletic feats well beyond others his age.His talents marked him as a threat to the Nunh of the tribe, as well as some other, influential elders, who knew that as he grew up he would gain popularity among the members, and with it power. These tribesmen saw an opportunity on Azorr's 4th birthday, when he first manifested the specific gifts of his echo, being able to see an attack of a Behemoth who had strayed far from its normal hunting grounds. As they were not normal in the area, many in the tribe panicked, however Azorr, with his abilities, was able to subdue the beast and chase it away.However, his enemies used this as an opportunity to cast doubt onto Azorr, marking him as evil and leading the tribe elders to believe that it was the work of Azorr, or somehow Azorr's fault that the strange beast attacked. Despite his mother's protest, Azorr was stricken from the tribe and left in the desert wilderness, alone, with little more than his loincloth. For anyone else of his age, this would have been death.

Survival

Azorr, with no other options, set about surviving. Over the next few years (he eventually lost track of time, estimating somewhere between 3-5 years) he survived in the wilderness, learning from the beasts and beast tribes which surrounded the area. He also tapped into his more feral nature, helping him survive and get along with the beasts.His encounters with "civilized" people always left him disappointed. Rather than converse and befriend, most of the time they would attempt to capture him and try to enslave him. It never succeeded, but after some time he gave up trying to seek other human-like cultures, preferring to live alone.One day, however, he found himself in a position unfamiliar to him: he did not see a way to win or escape. This group of men and women of various races had cornered him and had him surrounded. Even with his gifts, he did not see a way to survive through fighting or flight. Resolved, he decided that he would rather go down a warrior, and would fight until the end. He postured up, and as the enemy came at him, he fought them best he could.As he started taking strikes and injuries, he noticed one person who stopped the other soldiers, commanding them in a language he was unfamiliar with. Azorr was tired, sore, and beaten, and he couldn't remember the last time he ate properly. Before he passed out, he thought that he did his best, and would be happy to pass knowing this.He awoke, his wounds tended. Azorr would learn later that the leader, Kori, was a mercenary captain who recognized Azorr's talents. Rather than sell him into slavery, Kori brought Azorr up as a mercenary, having seen Azorr's gifts and talents first-hand.Azorr would drop the Miqo'te spelling of his name, and adopt the last name of his mentor, who raised him into a fine, well-known fighter. Azorr has seen a lot of battles, for better or worse, but he has always tried to keep a good outlook on like. He now looks for some peace in his life, while hiding a dark part of himself for only those who show...unique interests.

Personality

Azorr is generally happy, upbeat and fun. However, when it comes to battle, the scars run deep. He has seen what mistakes cost in a fight, and does not suffer those who do not take the responsibility of combat seriously. He has trained his body and mind, as well as honed his gifts, so that he can give his all during battle. He tries to remain calm and collected, and approaches each battle with a logical, clear mind and a vision for victory. He is able to think on his feet if necessary. Those who follow his orders find success. However, those under his command who don't, find that discipline from Azorr is swift and unforgiving. When lives are on the line, Azorr would rather instil into someone through punishment how important it is before there is a mistake, than try to seek forgivness after there has been one.Outside of his duties as a mercenary, however, Azorr is fun but responsible. He enjoys both social outings and gatherings, and quite times either alone or with small groups of companions. He has difficulties with interpersonal relationships, as his social upbringing was never the best, even when he was finally taken in by mentor Kori and the mercenary band and taught social etiquette.Azorr's years in the desert wastelands have pushed him to have an enjoyment of water, and he will be seen frequently around places with recreations involving water. He makes his primary home in the Mists of Limsa, right by the beach, and has multiple baths in his home for this reason.Although he has drifted from his culture and heritage, Azorr continues to at least honor some traditions. Renaming himself "Azorr Kori", dropping the title of either "Tia" or "Nunh" from his name, he acknowledged that he is no longer part of his tribe. He took the name of his mentor, Kori, and has used it since.He is polyamorous, though currently in a monogamous relationship and happy with it. He does have a tendency to show his feral side more during times of high emotion. He also suffers from PTSD from his traumas, resulting in a severe anxiety disorder at times which causes social issues.Azorr is fiercely loyal to friends, and quick to defend those he feels need defending. His sense of justice is strong, and he will stand up for what he feels is right, sometimes going too far and refusing to back down when he should. His lack of fear and full dedication to his beliefs do not sit well with others, which adds to his social awkwardness.

About Me

I am male, live in the mountain time zone, and work rather standard office hours Monday through Friday. I prefer social RP and meeting new friends, and am always down to either just hang out, or run some content, old or new.I am happy to answer questions in DM's, and love to chat, so feel free to message me either in game or on Discord. I like to get to know who I am talking to first, so if you are more interested in pure IC interaction, I am likely not the person for you.I am currently in a wonderful relationship, married to my love Ryza Eclipse, and am not looking for another one. While I am happy to meet new friends and have new adventures, I am not looking for anything more romantic. I hope that we can still get to know each other, as some of my closest friends have been met online.

Photography

I started doing photography, and with the help of several friends I have learned a lot about how to take good screen shots and set a good scene. I have also been blessed with the ability to use my FC house as a studio, so I have a wide variety of spaces available for shoots right now.
